Early May
Launched Google Ads — Search, Performance Max & Demand Gen campaigns went live to start gathering data.
Mid May
Set up Meta (Facebook & Instagram). Hit account restrictions twice — funding is a high-risk niche and new, un-warmed accounts get flagged fast.
Late May
Resolved restrictions directly with Meta support and got the Business Manager fully approved & warmed up. Launched the 10-banner lead campaign across UK.
Now
Both channels running. Meta account is stable and warmed — we can now scale advertising far more aggressively.
⚙️ The first weeks were spent fighting account blocks rather than optimising — normal for the funding niche. That groundwork is now done, so next month starts from a much stronger position.

🔍 Insight: "broker" keywords convert clicks at very high CTR (42–50%) — people respond strongly to the broker angle. But overall search volume in this niche is low, which is why we're complementing Search with Demand Gen & Display to reach people who aren't actively searching yet.

💡 A lot of searches lean toward sole traders, grants & crowdfunding rather than MCA directly. Next month we'll refine keywords & negative terms to focus budget on the highest-intent funding searches and cut wasted spend.

Age distribution

Google impressions by age

Gender split

71% male · 29% female
📱 96% of traffic is on mobile. Audience skews 45+ (75% of impressions) and male — typical of established business owners. Creatives & landing page must be mobile-first.
Broker-angle keywords convert. "business lending broker" & "loan broker business" hit 42–44% CTR — our positioning is right.
Meta account is now stable. After two blocks, the warmed Business Manager runs clean — the hardest part is behind us.
Strong CPCs on Google. £1.21 average CPC is healthy for UK financial keywords.
27 leads despite a setup-heavy month. 15 from Google, 12 from Meta — a solid base considering most of the month went to getting accounts live.
⚠️
Low search volume. Not enough people search funding terms daily — we need to push demand-generation, not just capture.
⚠️
Room to scale. Most of the month went to setup & unblocking. With that done, offers and creatives can now do the heavy lifting to multiply these leads.
1
Lead with video creatives
Short-form video outperforms static for this audience. We'll produce video ads to lift engagement & lower cost per lead.
2
Test more offers & angles
Roll out a wider set of offers — broker angle, partner recruitment, card payments — and let data pick the winners.
3
Launch more campaigns
Now the Meta account is warmed, we scale into multiple campaigns & audiences rather than a single test.
4
Scale Google demand-gen
Expand Demand Gen & Display to reach business owners who aren't searching yet — fixing the low-volume problem.
5
Push the strongest offers harder
Double down on the broker positioning that's already proving it converts.

Steven — for the £500/month management fee, we set up and ran both Google and Meta for you this month, including all the work to get the accounts approved and warmed up. That was the heavy lifting, and it's now behind us.

I'm genuinely invested in getting you real results. This first month was about building the foundation — next month is about performance. If we keep working together, my focus is to make month two deliver as many quality leads as possible.

Good news too: you have a £400 Google Ads voucher we can activate on your account — that's effectively extra budget working for you at no additional cost, so we can make the Google side even more effective.
